In a significant development for Transervice, we have recently been awarded new customer contracts with Louisville Gas & Electric/Kentucky Utilities (LG&E) and Dairy Farmers of America (DFA). Louisville Gas & Electric (LG&E) is a key player in the energy sector, providing essential gas and electric services to residential and commercial energy consumers across the state of Kentucky. With a fleet of nearly 2,000 vehicles necessary for maintaining infrastructure, responding to emergencies and executing daily operations, efficient fleet maintenance is crucial for LG&E. Partnering with a professional fleet maintenance provider ensures that LG&E’s specialized vehicles are in optimal condition, enhancing reliability, safety and operational efficiency.
Through demonstrating a robust history of successful partnerships, showcasing testimonials and case studies from other major clients, Transervice won a significant contract that was previously held by a 20-year incumbent. Operations began on January 1, 2024 with a large start-up team that sacrificed time during the holidays to ensure a seamless transition. The team was led by Michael Dominguez and Jennifer Provini, who directed the implementation effort along with countless other Transervice associates. Together, the team launched an operation that encompasses 3 shops, 17 technicians and 4 managers/support staff.
Dairy Farmers of America, a leading dairy cooperative made up of nearly 10,000 family farmers across the country, relies on a vast fleet of vehicles to transport dairy products from farms to processing plants and distribution centers across the nation. Maintaining this fleet is critical to ensuring product quality, safety and timely delivery. Effective fleet maintenance directly impacts DFA’s operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
One of DFA’s many brands is Kemps Dairy located in Le Mars, IA, which had outsourced fleet maintenance services to one of Transervice’s competitors for many years. Through an open RFP process, Steve Kada, Director of Business Development, successfully presented our proficiencies within the food industry and innovative approach towards fleet maintenance. Subsequently, Transervice was awarded a multi-year contract to maintain Kemps’ fleet of 180 tractors and refrigerated trailers through a dedicated on-site team of four technicians and a manager. The new business started in July of 2023 with Mark Finger and Glenn Campbell leading the implementation efforts.
