How did your career prepare you to be Vice President of Human Resources?
Early in my career, I gained valuable insights into various HR functions through roles in recruitment, employee relations and talent management. As I progressed in my career, I took on leadership roles where I honed my strategic thinking and decision-making abilities. Whether it was leading HR teams, managing organizational change initiatives or developing HR policies aligned with business objectives, each opportunity contributed to my growth as an HR leader.
Furthermore, I actively sought out opportunities to expand my knowledge and expertise in areas such as organizational development, diversity and inclusion, and talent acquisition. Continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends have been instrumental in my ability to anticipate and adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
Why did you join Transervice?
I chose to join Transervice primarily because of the vibrant culture and strong leadership that the company embodies. From my initial interactions, it was evident that Transervice values its employees and fosters an environment of collaboration, growth and respect. Moreover, the opportunity to spearhead the creation of a recruitment department was incredibly appealing to me. I’m passionate about shaping teams and ensuring that the right talent is brought on board to contribute to the company’s success. How do you prioritize your time as Vice President of Human Resources?
Firstly, I prioritize tasks based on their impact and urgency. Critical matters that require immediate attention are addressed promptly to mitigate any potential risks or disruptions. Secondly, I allocate time to long-term projects and initiatives that will drive sustained growth and development within the organization. Thirdly, I emphasize the importance of employee well-being and engagement. Investing time in nurturing a positive work culture, addressing employee concerns and fostering professional development opportunities not only boosts morale but also enhances overall productivity and retention.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies? Interests?
I love to hike, mountain bike riding, reading and most importantly, spending time with my dog, Harley.
