Garage/Fleet Maintenance Manager

Transervice is seeking a Garage/Fleet Maintenance Manager. We seek a dynamic, multi task oriented professional to provide oversight and support for 5 maintenance shops. This individual will insure that all contractual requirements are achieved. Duties included will consist the monitoring of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports. The position will oversee 5 locations and must be able to properly manage a budget for maintenance program and innovative preventive maintenance initiatives.

This position will direct and coordinate activities of 7 mechanics working on various types of vehicles and diesel equipment for major telecom company. Responsibilities include schedule training of employees, planning, assigning and directing work, conducting performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the records management of all equipment
  • Maintain warranties, PM schedule and repair records
  • Manage the repair & maintenance of customers equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the shop
  • Participate in hiring & termination of service & repair staff
  • Train new mechanics/technicians
  • Review Mechanics work orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Inspect equipment to ensure they are being maintained properly
  • Meet with members of management to discuss policies, problems & provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • College degree in a business or technical field. Five to eight years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and/or small group situations to customers
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Knowledge TMT version 19.4
  • Bilingual abilities Preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
