Transervice is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor. We seek a dynamic, multi task oriented professional to provide oversight and support for diesel mechanics working on Class 8 tractors and trailers. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and operational efficiently of the fleet. They serve as the primary contact concerning the operational usage, maintenance, and control of the company’s vehicle fleet. They will make the ultimate decision whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of DOT fleet equipment such as Class 8 tractors and trailers as needed
- Scheduling & coordinate regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
- Schedule & coordinate annual required DOT inspection for company owned equipment suchas Class 8 tractors and trailers
- Maintain inventory and orders spare parts as needed through PO system
- Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection
- Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules
- Coordinate all services needed for leased equipment according to leasing company’s standards, policies or procedures
- Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits within the maintenance program
- Analyzing data to make suggestions on how to increase business operational efficiency
- Registering and licensing all vehicles in the fleet
- Ensure the proper installation and maintenance of GPS/ELD hardware
- Assure the fleet complies with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations
- Assist in developing employee policies and procedures pertaining to proper operation, maintenance, and repair of fleet equipment
- This is 3rd shift 10 PM to 6 AM
- Sunday thru Thursday
- Friday and Saturday OFF!!

- College degree in a business or technical field or three to six years related experience in fleet management experience with Class 8 tractors and trailers preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and technical manuals.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from agencies or members of the business community.
